Here are four great resources to get you started...

1.What the Bible says, and Doesn’t Say, About Homosexuality

A free 24-page booklet by the notable Mel White, which

can be read on line, downloaded or ordered by mail.

2. Commentary and resource list at the Evangelicals Concerned website

        A huge cache of information.

If you are a Seventh-day Adventist, then this

extensive document written by physician Ben

Kemena will be of interest. At right is a picture

of the subtopics you’ll see. When you get there,

skip around among the topics or, for best results,

start at the beginning and keep clicking “Next Page.”

4. “Christianity and Homosexuality—

        Some Seventh-day Adventist Perspectives”

          New book, published in 2008...

This collection of chapters and responses

covers a wide range of topics from scrip-

                     tural analysis to personal experience,

                     written by respected professionals from

within the Adventist community. It seeks

to open the door to discussion, without

making any claim to provide ultimate

answers. Chapters are by various Ad-

ventist authors, and each includes dis-

                     cussion questions.

Edited by David Ferguson, Fritz Guy, David Larson.

Footnote:
Since everybody already knows the traditional take on the so-called gay texts (“God said it, I believe it, that settles it!”), these resources largely focus on the newer perspectives of current religious thought.
